I co-led a winter photography trip to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.
We stopped at the beach first and it was cold but lovely.
The tide was just starting to come in.
We saw a whole bunch of birds! It was really fun.
Then we moved over to the marshland to take pictures.
The grass was lovely.
We caught the sun shining on it in such a manner you could forget it was the middle of winter.
It was so gorgeous. We all had to stop multiple times while walking on boardwalk in the marsh.
Then we went back to the beach and found tide pools full of hermit crabs!
One of the other leaders let me borrow his macro lens – these are barnacles on a rock.
Here’s the eyes of a hermit crab. I really want a macro lens now!
