June means strawberries and strawberries means strawberry picking at Russell farms over in Ipswich! There was music, animals, food, wine tastings, face painting, and of course, plenty of strawberries!
It was super popular – there were lots of people running around picking strawberries. It was a great day to be outside.
There were lovely flowers and plants everywhere. It’s such fun digging around in the dirt.
Oddly enough, I don’t like strawberries, but I loved hunting around for the perfect fruit to pick.
They had raspberries on the verge of ripening – we snatched a few early bloomers for snacking but they weren’t open for picking just yet.
Some of the lovely flowers lining the fruit plots.
Afterwards, we stopped for seafood and then ice cream – we ate ice cream outside by this little marsh. It was a really good day.
My roommate, Anna, the mastermind behind all this.
Hans, cracking up at Anna’s antics.
And Ariel, relaxing and laughing along with Hans. A fantastic day indeed!
