Vermont Day Trip

My friends and I took a day trip up to Vermont for a little cheese, ice cream, and light hiking.IMG_0154

Our first stop was Sugarbush farm, home of some of the best cheese and maple syrup in New England.  Here, Anna and Hans are experiencing the maple harvesting process!

Our second stop was Ben and Jerry’s factory!  This is their QC room, which captivated us lab rats on the trip – we spent a good ten minutes trying to identifying the different machines in the room.  (They even had a tiny fume hood!)

On the left is Lupe, enjoying her cone.  On the right, Anna in the ice cream graveyard (Anna is Russian and has quite the love of puns.)

The factory set is nestled in the Vermont hills – I envy the people who come to work every day and see this.

Our final stop was Quechee Gorge, a nice easy stroll around a peaceful river – I’ve been there before.

Of course, spring brings the birds back – they were singing and flitting about as we walked.

Anna and Hans had a quick round of “King of the Rock” out on the river.

Here are the “rapids” they were standing over – one of my favorite things in New England springtime is the rushing water from the melting snow.

  1. I don’t even understand how I ended up right here, but I believed this submit was once great.
I do not understand who you are but definitely you’re going to a well-known blogger should you aren’t already.
    Cheers!
