My (oldest) friend Brenda is in town and we went to the Arnold Arboretum Friday evening to enjoy the sunset.

It is finally spring here in Boston and everything is beautiful and blooming.

The trees are finally leafed out and beautiful.

All the green! I was so glad that Brenda suggested we go to a botanical garden, because I had forgotten how beautiful the Arboretum was.

It’s a bit colder this spring so the blooms are lasting longer, if coming in a bit late. The light coming through the petals was just amazing.

This could be honeysuckle – I’m not entirely positive but I loved the symmetry of it.

The best part of the day was just strolling among the greenery and the dramatic light of the setting sun.  Being outdoors is my favorite thing.
